  1. G-Police Demo Readme        Version 1.1.1                  August 1997

  3. This demo version of G-Police must be installed by running SETUP from
  4. the CD.
  5.  
  6. On running GPOLICE.EXE you should see a dialog box allowing you to
  7. select your rendering options. The default choice if you have a
  8. 3D accelerator installed will be HARDWARE 16BIT. However you can run
  9. G-Police with out an accelerator by selecting the SOFTWARE option.
  10.  
  11. Click on PLAY GPOLICE to take you into the game. After a moment or two,
  12. you will see the main menu screen. From here you can change your graphics,
  13. sound and controller options from the options menu, improve your piloting
  14. skills in a training mission, or get straight into the action with the
  15. specially designed demo level.

  17. The default keyboard controller keys are as follows:
  18. Cursor keys:   Pitch and Roll, These control the direction of your Havoc.
  19. Right Shift:   Forward Thrust. Double press for after burners
  20. Right Control: Reverse Thrust. Double press brings you to a quick stop.
  21. Left Control:  Fire. 
  22. Left ALT:      Air brake. Use this for faster turns.
  23. A/Z:           Weapon select up and down. 
  24. S/X:           Hover up/down
  25. C.             Target Lock.
  26. Space Bar:     View select
  27. Escape:        Pause menu. Press ENTER to select an item.

  29. Selecting Joysticks in the Control Setup will allow you to reconfigure
  30. for a joystick or game pad.

  32. Unlike the full game, this demo will not save your options settings so
  33. any changes to the configuration will be lost when you quit the demo.

  35. This demo version of G-Police is derived from the full version of the game
  36. which is still in development. It does have a few bugs and has some features
  37. missing from the final version. Look out for the release version of the game
  38. out in October!

  40. G-Police requires Microsoft DirectX 5 and will run on any 166mhz or faster
  41. system. See readme3d.txt for info on supported 3D hardware.
